The Beatles were an English rock band who formed in Liverpool. The band formed in 1960 and consisted of four members. The four band members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The Beatles built up their reputation by playing in pubs and clubs that were located throughout Hamburg and Liverpool, they did this for around 3 years until they became well known worldwide.
